Low-income job seekers will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills, resulting in jobs and career advancement.
To provide advocacy on behalf of low-income job seekers and support the enhancement of services for the organizations that serve these populations.
Advocacy
- Advocate for low-income unemployed and underemployed residents within the Franklin County area
Service Enhancement
- Member agencies will work with each other and the larger community to design, develop, and implement joint projects and strategies that support the target population by;
- Addressing current services gaps
- Enhancing capacity to deliver services
- Facilitate the sharing of information across agencies
- Facilitate the sharing of workforce development models and strategies among member organizations
- Provide information and offer professional development training related to career and workforce areas for all levels of member agency staff
- Assist member organizations to obtain industry recognized credentials and certifications
- Encourage the use of the common web-based tracking and reporting system that facilitates on-line customer referrals and provides data for research and advocacy
