Trying to Work, A door-to-door survey of low-income residents on barriers to employment and service needs - April 2007
Over 900 low-income residents responded to the survey, providing their perspective on what services are needed to assist them in finding and retaining employment, the state of currently offered workforce services, and their perceived barriers to employment. The report also includes data collected from workforce development staff on their perception of issues affecting this population of job seekers.

Critical Issues, Critical Trends in Workforce Development In Franklin County - 2005
This report highlights the growing workforce needs and current funding trends in our local community and other issues essential to the strength of the county's economic base. The report highlights the growing immigrant community, growing economic disparities between minorities and white, and the continuing struggle of the working poor. The report also notes that, while the Franklin County business and educational communities have attempted to address negative trends, on a federal, state and local level there has been a significant reduction in the focus on workforce training.
